A collision led to Carrizo getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Edmundo Scheuermann hit a great ball. Puconu's Mercé Fredes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carrizo. Adriano Ojeda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filomeno Pirola in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 40th match minute, Carrizo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timeteo Maillard to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Carrizo's zone, Raúlo Minassian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano Ojeda came out of the goal and Raúlo Minassian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Calvino Bascuñán had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Echedey Dittborn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Calvino Bascuñán had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Echedey Dittborn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Ossa having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Calvino Bascuñán ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uriel Ossa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrique Arana in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adriano Ojeda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th minute of the match Luciano Tassara shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Uriel Ossa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Florín Peñaranda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adriano Ojeda was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 81st minute Calvino Bascuñán shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Ossa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Carrizo booed when Puconu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúlo Minassian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uriel Ossa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Echedey Dittborn in the 83rd minute of play. If Filomeno Pirola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Enrique Arana came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Puconu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Arana couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
