Adrián Talamilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Scheuermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. Granizo were furious when Niguel De Rurange was red carded, 4 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Granizo getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Niguel De Rurange hit a great ball. Patricio Peralta hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Adelmo Urzúa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Ojeda having to interfere. Granizo's Patricio Peralta has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvino Bascuñán in the 21st minute of play forced Granizo's goalkeeper Adrián Talamilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adelmo Urzúa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adriano Ojeda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelmo Urzúa in the 44th minute of the match. Adelmo Urzúa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Ojeda having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Calvino Bascuñán to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Adelmo Urzúa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Ojeda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carrizo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Adelmo Urzúa scored to the left of an out of position Adriano Ojeda, making the score, 0-2. Granizo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Patricio Peralta in the 62nd minute. Adelmo Urzúa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Adriano Ojeda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adriano Ojeda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelmo Urzúa in the 67th minute of the match. Adriano Ojeda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelmo Urzúa in the 76th minute of play. Adrián Talamilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Scheuermann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Echedey Dittborn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adrián Talamilla was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Edilberto Ponce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Carrizo's Desiderio García got a free kick in the 90th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Adelmo Urzúa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Granizo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelmo Urzúa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Granizo's Adrián Talamilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calvino Bascuñán in the 92nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Adelmo Urzúa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adriano Ojeda. That made the score 1-3 in the 94 minute of play. Granizo played a much better game than Carrizo and deserved their victory. The Carrizo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
