In the 19th minute, Ramiro Fabiani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ramiro Fabiani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mercé Illanes Ansaldo having to interfere. If Sarracino Montt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mónico Ondegardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duardo Mosca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mercé Illanes Ansaldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramiro Fabiani went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 57th minute, Cresenciano Maquieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro Fabiani might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mercé Illanes Ansaldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramiro Fabiani ran back to his position shaking his head. Aytuy's Mercé Illanes Ansaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Vidal in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute Salinas were awarded a corner. Cresenciano Maquieira went to the cornerflag to take it. Martino Pincheira thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Mercé Illanes Ansaldo, a very annoying self made goal in the 63rd minute which led to 2-0. After having played for 68 minutes, Cresenciano Maquieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in Aytuy's zone, Juan Fernando Deppe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mercé Illanes Ansaldo came out of the goal and Juan Fernando Deppe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Jordi Agudo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salinas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Fabiani in the 82nd minute of play forced Aytuy's goalkeeper Mercé Illanes Ansaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edilberto Madrigal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Mercé Illanes Ansaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
