When Tamariz Troncoso came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Nahuentue FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tamariz Troncoso couldn't finish the play. When Vincente Bueras fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nahuentue FC's protests and gave Vincente Bueras a yellow card for diving instead. 15 minutes into the game, one of Nahuentue FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Niceto Troncoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 minutes, Markus Mesa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nahuentue FC and the CSD Colo-Colo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pinone Moxo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 47th minute, Filiberto Ensslin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Filiberto Ensslin made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Niceto Troncoso made a precise shot to the right of Manu Enríquez. Nahuentue FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Igor De la Sotta charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
