After 11 minutes of play, El Cacique's Manolo Aguayo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Modesto Blanchetau was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lucas Crawley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juanjo Arteta in the 17th minute of play. Raúlo Cataldo scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Modesto Blanchetau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute, Diego Armando Olivera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timeteo Otazo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Modesto Blanchetau. Olympique de Curicó F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lucas Crawley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juanjo Arteta, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juanjo Arteta in the 33rd minute of play forced El Cacique's goalkeeper Lucas Crawley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juanjo Arteta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Lucas Crawley made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Luis Oñate got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Raúlo Cataldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juanjo Arteta in the 47th minute of play forced El Cacique's goalkeeper Lucas Crawley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raúlo Cataldo to make the kick off. Lucas Crawley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Oñate in the 52nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Juanjo Arteta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympique de Curicó F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Juanjo Arteta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucas Crawley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luis Oñate struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Lucas Crawley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympique de Curicó F.C. A collision led to Olympique de Curicó F.C getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Maxín Mac Auliffe hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúlo Cataldo in the 65th minute of play forced Olympique de Curicó F.C's goalkeeper Modesto Blanchetau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manolo Aguayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Modesto Blanchetau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Juanjo Arteta came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Olympique de Curicó F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juanjo Arteta couldn't finish the play. Manolo Aguayo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Modesto Blanchetau made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as El Cacique's Raúlo Cataldo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Modesto Blanchetau. That made the score 0-3 after 76 minutes of play. If Manolo Aguayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raúlo Cataldo kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Olympique de Curicó F.C's Juanjo Arteta got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to El Cacique getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Yoel Cueto hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, El Cacique's goal looked a bit too open when Juanjo Arteta came free, but Lucas Crawley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. El Cacique walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
