After a defensive mix-up in El Cacique's zone, Pepe Necochea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Crawley came out of the goal and Pepe Necochea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manolo Aguayo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Salbatore Bermúdez came out and tried to block the shot, but Manolo Aguayo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manolo Aguayo got free with Salbatore Bermúdez in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Paillalef in the 29th minute of play forced El Cacique's goalkeeper Lucas Crawley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Cacique's Lucas Crawley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pepe Necochea in the 45th minute of play. But to his dismay, Pepe Necochea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pepe Necochea was the one to do the kick off. If Ireno Barrasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Paillalefs short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Lucas Crawley to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pepe Necochea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Crawley having to interfere. If David Paillalef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
