In the 21st minute, A K I R A's Freddy Gröger ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Waldir Bastos. Waldir Bastos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Cristián Sire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Chimbarongo's zone, Leonides Santibañez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldir Bastos came out of the goal and Leonides Santibañez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of A K I R A booed when Chimbarongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicasio Salamon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonides Santibañez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Waldir Bastos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Manuelo Ordaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Freddy Gröger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The wind increased when Cristián Sire made the kick off in the second half. Freddy Gröger scored 3-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldir Bastos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Juanjo Peralta fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A K I R A's protests and gave Juanjo Peralta a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Chimbarongo booed when A K I R A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juanjo Peralta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Leonides Santibañez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waldir Bastos. Chimbarongo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonides Santibañez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Leonides Santibañez managed to get in a good position for a shot. A K I R A's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonides Santibañez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldir Bastos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A K I R A's Zebastian Vennerström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristián Sire in the 73rd minute of play. Waldir Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Santibañez in the 75th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Chimbarongo's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Gröger came free, but Waldir Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, A K I R A's goal looked a bit too open when Cristián Sire came free, but Zebastian Vennerström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A K I R A's Zebastian Vennerström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristián Sire in the 82nd minute of play. Leonides Santibañez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A K I R A's Zebastian Vennerström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save A K I R A from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute, Bairon Olarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ruperto Bermund fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chimbarongo's protests and gave Ruperto Bermund a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Gröger in the 93rd minute of play forced Chimbarongo's goalkeeper Waldir Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sixto Nicholas kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. There was no doubt that A K I R A were the better team. A K I R A's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
