With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teofilio Ugalde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 20thth minute of the game Arnaldo Swett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manuel Rodríguez FC's Valiente Gebler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 21st minute, Romildo Imaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teofilio Ugalde was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 24 minutes into the game, Juan Jesus Salin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panavinto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manuel Rodríguez FC the free kick. Juan Jesus Salin kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Panavinto's Teofilio Ugalde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romildo Imaz in the 27th minute of play. Teofilio Ugalde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romildo Imaz in the 28th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Panavinto's goal looked a bit too open when Romildo Imaz came free, but Teofilio Ugalde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caupolicán Millas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Manuel Rodríguez FC booed when Panavinto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florín Alvar didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Marino Galleguillos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valiente Gebler having to interfere. Caupolicán Millas struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Valiente Gebler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panavinto. If Caupolicán Millas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnaldo Swett kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Valiente Gebler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caupolicán Millas in the 77th minute of play. If Arnaldo Swett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Swett in the 80th minute of play forced Manuel Rodríguez FC's goalkeeper Valiente Gebler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teofilio Ugalde was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Darien Markovic showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 83 minute of play. If Darien Markovic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Rodríguez FC's Darien Markovic got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Manuel Rodríguez FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
