In the 7th match minute, Huilipatagua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Maeztu to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alessandro Salles during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Disvandis Perfetti succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 12th playminute. Benedicto Ríos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Salles in the 18th minute of play. Huilipatagua's Benedicto Ríos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Salles in the 23rd minute of play. Aníbal Bautista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Kirck, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Disvandis Perfetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aníbal Bautista having to interfere. Alessandro Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Huilipatagua's Pablo Maeztu got a free kick in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, Huilipatagua's goal looked a bit too open when Manolo Searle came free, but Benedicto Ríos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaume Ferreiro hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Peio Bermúdez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute, Isadoro Aguirrebeña sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Diaguitas AFC's Aníbal Bautista didn't even have to move. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Aníbal Bautista successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abel Kirck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Huilipatagua booed when Diaguitas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Madaune didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 played minutes Diaguitas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jaume Ferreiro. For all the effort they put into the match, the Diaguitas AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Huilipatagua.
