After a rather tough play, Chuquicamata AFC's Silvio Philippi got a free kick in the 44th minute. Marcelino Apparcel was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ceferino Fazzini's late challenge caught a Mediosed FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ceferino Fazzini helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes Chuquicamata AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ceferino Fazzini. Mediosed FC's Marcelino Apparcel couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 49th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Chuquicamata AFC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mercurio Liendo made a kick off. Mediosed FC's Franco Antonis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lander Delpín in the 56th minute of play. Hugo Schroeders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alcadio Puelles having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Chuquicamata AFC's goalkeeper Alcadio Puelles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugo Schroeders. When Quintén Barrenechea fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chuquicamata AFC's protests and gave Quintén Barrenechea a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chuquicamata AFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Quintén Barrenechea hit a great ball. When Mercurio Liendo came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Mediosed FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mercurio Liendo couldn't finish the play. Romualdo Ossandon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lander Delpín had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franco Antonis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romualdo Ossandon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
