The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Camilo Mendiola didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lander Delpín went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 18th play minute Alipio Cardenas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alcadio Puelles. 1-1. L.W. Legend's Camilo Mendiola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romualdo Ossandon in the 25th minute of play. When Heliodoro Vidma fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored L.W. Legend's protests and gave Heliodoro Vidma a yellow card for diving instead. Heliodoro Vidma kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 31 minutes, Juan Raúl Feres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the L.W. Legend and the Chuquicamata AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, Juan Raúl Feres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Chuquicamata AFC's Quintén Barrenechea in action when he in the 32nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 36 minutes into the match, Romualdo Ossandon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camilo Mendiola. L.W. Legend's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romualdo Ossandon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Alcadio Puelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Enríquez in the 41st minute of play. The Chuquicamata AFC fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Chuquicamata AFC's Lander Delpín looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roger Enríquez was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Chuquicamata AFC booed when L.W. Legend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heliodoro Vidma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alipio Cardenas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Alcadio Puelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69thth minute of the game Alipio Cardenas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chuquicamata AFC's Alcadio Puelles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roger Enríquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the match, L.W. Legend's goalkeeper Camilo Mendiola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lander Delpín. After having played for 80 minutes, Lander Delpín managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chuquicamata AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lander Delpín was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Camilo Mendiola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romualdo Ossandon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute Tito Faure suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. A collision led to Chuquicamata AFC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Quintén Barrenechea hit a great ball. Henrico Gavilán was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 89th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. During the 92nd minute of the match Heliodoro Vidma completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Heliodoro Vidma a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Camilo Mendiola made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Lander Delpín sent off a good shot on target. 97 minutes into the match, L.W. Legend's goal looked a bit too open when Romualdo Ossandon came free, but Camilo Mendiola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The L.W. Legend supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chuquicamata AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Chuquicamata AFC.
