With a little luck, Arepunra FC's Jacobo Serre got control of the ball when Calvino Píriz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Calvino Píriz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Jacobo Serre made a huge save. Marcelo Font took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Smitmans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albano Vial fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Serre having to interfere. Romildo Bourchier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Romildo Bourchier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Lecan's goal looked a bit too open when Romildo Bourchier came free, but Marcelo Font reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Lecan getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Román Oñez y Loyola hit a great ball. Jacinto Martínez Lamas's late challenge caught a Arepunra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacinto Martínez Lamas helped the player get up and apologised. Jacinto Martínez Lamas hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. A collision led to Lecan getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Albano Vial hit a great ball. Marcelo Font stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Soriano Almadel's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Arepunra FC's Romildo Bourchier got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 46 minutes, Román Oñez y Loyola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lecan and the Arepunra FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Román Oñez y Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Romildo Bourchier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arepunra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Romildo Bourchier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Font breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Arepunra FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the game, Calvino Píriz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jacobo Serre was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58th match minute, Arepunra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasco Linacre to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Lecan's Balendín Falcone broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Arepunra FC's Santiago Smitmans got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Albano Vial left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lecan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albano Vial in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Serre saved Arepunra FC from getting behind. Jacobo Serre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calvino Píriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Calvino Píriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jacobo Serre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Santiago Smitmans got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jacobo Serre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albano Vial's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Saúl Pasenau charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Saúl Pasenau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Lecan booed when Arepunra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saúl Pasenau didn't get a good kick on the ball.
