Ruesga Canningham started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute of the match Teofilo Olate sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tanausu Maettig skillfully saved the ball. Geofredo Guerrero hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Salamón Hardy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tanausu Maettig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Salamón Hardy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tanausu Maettig was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Salamón Hardy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanausu Maettig having to interfere. Belmiro Guemes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruesga Canningham in the 31st minute of play. Severino Deves hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Ruesga Canningham struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Belmiro Guemes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talcan FC. In the 44th minute Carmelo Encina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belmiro Guemes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abraham Rosas hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Ruesga Canningham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talcan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruesga Canningham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Belmiro Guemes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Salamón Hardy made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Salamón Hardy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abarca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salamón Hardy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Talcan FC booed when Abarca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geofredo Guerrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruesga Canningham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carmelo Encina's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Belmiro Guemes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 73rd minute, Pedro Espina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ruesga Canningham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
