The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 played minutes Chorrillos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mónico Camilo. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, Chorrillos AFC's Fidel Wood got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Sandro Klein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sandro Klein came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Molineros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandro Klein couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute, Eric Ceballos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 28th minute Honorio Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Ariza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Chorrillos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Klein came free, but Casimír Cuminao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 played minutes Molineros got a freekick which was hit by Mónico Naretto. Eric Ceballos took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reynaldo Ariza. Reynaldo Ariza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eric Ceballos made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Humberto Kirck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 60 minutes, Honorio Urbano made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Molineros's Reynaldo Ariza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With 68 minutes on the clock, Florencio Faraggi commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 67 minutes into the game, one of Chorrillos AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Casimír Cuminao had in the 70thth minute some difficulties stopping Ernesto Barril's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 72 minutes, Narcís Urra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chorrillos AFC and the Molineros players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 72 played minutes Chorrillos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Narcís Urra. After 74 played minutes, Molineros's Mónico Naretto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Casimír Cuminao came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Molineros reached it. Chorrillos AFC's Jose Manuel Maillard got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Molineros's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Honorio Urbano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jose Manuel Maillard's late challenge caught a Molineros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Manuel Maillard helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th minute, Jose Manuel Maillard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chorrillos AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
