The referee felt a red card was in order, 39 minutes into the game, when Hugo Orlando Arestizabal put in a rough tackle. The goalkeeper, Arnau Armstrong, was totally fooled by Colpita's Javier Arteta, who 41 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.
In the 52nd minute, Maquehua's Andoni Isamit ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elear Barbosa. Elear Barbosa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Norino Loayza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maquehua's supporters rose to their feet, but Norino Loayza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elear Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Norino Loayza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Henrico Torrealba came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Maquehua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrico Torrealba couldn't finish the play. Domingo Esquivel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ireno Inostroza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Elear Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Henrico Torrealba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Colpita's Arcadio Alenk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnau Armstrong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. The Colpita support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
