The referee ignored Ajax Athletic's protests and gave Joel Massenlli a yellow card for diving instead. Severino Covarrubias was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ajax Athletic's Zelipe Marine got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Darien Hernández took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fortunato Moltedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eber Slier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Darien Hernández managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Quilico's Eber Slier fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 30th minute, Fortunato Moltedo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Darien Hernández. The goal made the score 3-0. With a little luck, Ajax Athletic's Darien Hernández got control of the ball when Eber Slier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eber Slier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Darien Hernández tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ajax Athletic's zone, Eber Slier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darien Hernández came out of the goal and Eber Slier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Quilico booed when Ajax Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Massenlli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ajax Athletic's Darien Hernández played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fortunato Moltedo in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortunato Moltedo in the 47th minute of play forced Ajax Athletic's goalkeeper Darien Hernández to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Darien Hernández showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fortunato Moltedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 54 minutes into the game, Fortunato Moltedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Darien Hernández was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Quilico getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Juan Luis Bueno hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, Quilico's goalkeeper Manuel Antonio Alava had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zelipe Marine. Darien Hernández stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fortunato Moltedo's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Zelipe Marine blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuel Antonio Alava having to make a save. Eber Slier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darien Hernández having to interfere. If Fortunato Moltedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Eber Slier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eber Slier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darien Hernández having to interfere. Fortunato Moltedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ajax Athletic getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Angelino Weisser hit a great ball. Darien Hernández showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eber Slier in the 80th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, Txomin Alzola recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manuel Antonio Alava. Txomin Alzola showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. Ajax Athletic's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
