The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nastasio Malherbes short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Darien Hernández to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Ajax Athletic's Txomin Alzola in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 23rd minute, Romelio Horta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Darien Hernández. The goal made the score 1-0. Victoriano Larraeta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Darien Hernández. Ajax Athletic's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Zelipe Marine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Anselmo Bezanilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Guavina AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Txomin Alzola came free, but Anselmo Bezanilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nastasio Malherbe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darien Hernández having to make a save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Txomin Alzola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 64 played minutes Ajax Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Lolo Couve. Nastasio Malherbe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Darien Hernández tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Txomin Alzola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darien Hernández showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romelio Horta, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Zelipe Marine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Bezanilla having to interfere. Juanjo Iñiguez kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Txomin Alzola might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmo Bezanilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Txomin Alzola ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
