Darien Hernández made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andoni Isamit in the 10th minute of play. Andoni Isamit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darien Hernández having to interfere. Darien Hernández came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Maquehua's Norino Loayza. But to his dismay, Norino Loayza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 16th minute Txomin Alzola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnau Armstrong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zelipe Marine who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Arnau Armstrong when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Fabricio Millapan fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maquehua's protests and gave Fabricio Millapan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ajax Athletic booed when Maquehua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Millapan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zelipe Marine's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arnau Armstrong firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Ajax Athletic booed when Maquehua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrico Torrealba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maquehua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ajax Athletic the free kick. Ireno Inostroza hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Maquehua's Arnau Armstrong got control of the ball when Zelipe Marine tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Maquehua's goal looked a bit too open when Txomin Alzola came free, but Arnau Armstrong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Norino Loayza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maquehua's supporters rose to their feet, but Norino Loayza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darien Hernández breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Norino Loayza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norino Loayza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andoni Isamit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darien Hernández having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Norino Loayza to strike the kick off in the second half. Joel Massenlli charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Massenlli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd match minute, Ajax Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Massenlli to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute Maquehua were awarded a corner. Norino Loayza went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 68th minute, Andoni Isamit fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Andoni Isamit managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maquehua's supporters rose to their feet, but Andoni Isamit was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darien Hernández breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zelipe Marine blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnau Armstrong having to make a save. Darien Hernández took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norino Loayza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the game, Txomin Alzola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Arnau Armstrong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Fabricio Millapan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ajax Athletic's Joel Massenlli got his second yellow card of the match in the 85th minute. The referee ordered Joel Massenlli off the ground. A collision led to Ajax Athletic getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Joel Massenlli hit a great ball. Henrico Torrealba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Darien Hernández made a huge save. Norino Loayza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Darien Hernández made a huge save. Darien Hernández made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Henrico Torrealba sent off a good shot on target. The Ajax Athletic fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Maquehua were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
