The supporters of Confluencia booed when UnfiernoCruzado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oriol Portal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Confluencia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Romeo Hermosilla fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Remi Rodríguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliberto Salcedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 38 minutes, Moisés Zuasnabar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UnfiernoCruzado and the Confluencia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, UnfiernoCruzado's Moisés Zuasnabar got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 39 played minutes, Confluencia's Alejandro Cruchaga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Remi Rodríguez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Confluencia reached it. Victor Hugo Lizardi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remi Rodríguez having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Jorge Chavez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geofredo Portolés in the 64th minute of the match. Feliberto Salcedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Remi Rodríguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Hugo Lizardi in the 71st minute of play forced UnfiernoCruzado's goalkeeper Remi Rodríguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Remi Rodríguez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Remi Rodríguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Hugo Lizardi, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Emilio Felipe Iturribalzaga's late challenge caught a Confluencia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Confluencia were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
