Severiano Roger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Gana, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Deoxis F.C.'s zone, Domingo Gana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severiano Roger came out of the goal and Domingo Gana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Deoxis F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luis Angel Oliva was slow to take the kick. During this time Deportivo Rayo's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Luis Angel Oliva almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Deoxis F.C.'s Severiano Roger did a great save. Severiano Roger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingo Gana's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 25th minute, Albert Urruticoechea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deoxis F.C.'s Albert Urruticoechea got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albert Urruticoechea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristóbal Anastassiou struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Modesto Ronda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deoxis F.C.. Pol Ascue's late challenge caught a Deportivo Rayo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pol Ascue helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Deoxis F.C. getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Pol Ascue hit a great ball. In the 45th minute Domingo Gana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Roger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingo Gana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Severiano Roger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristóbal Anastassiou to strike the kick off in the second half. Pol Ascue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Deportivo Rayo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
