With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quintán Retana in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardo Vigil saved BatTeam from getting behind. In the 30th match minute, BatTeam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Mena to maneuver through the defense. Aristides Sances's late challenge caught a Pilen FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristides Sances helped the player get up and apologised. When Aníbal Tobar came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the BatTeam fans jumped to their feet. BatTeam's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pilen FC the free kick. The supporters of Pilen FC booed when BatTeam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salbatore Bulboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Prenafeta hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Quintán Retana made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of BatTeam booed when Pilen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quintán Retana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pilen FC played a much better game than BatTeam and deserved their victory. The BatTeam players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
