Ariel Baburizza scored 0-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Agustín Leroy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Agustín Leroy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Mimica in the 60th minute of play. Magdaleno Angel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Barrera in the 61st minute of play. Aristides Arciego's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Magdaleno Angel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
