San Patricio's Pere Quintana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save San Patricio from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Enrique Mariano Rabe notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Toculla FC's Miguel Hernánde Oquendo. Miguel Hernánde Oquendo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Adolfo Quiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Quiroz struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Pere Quintana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toculla FC. After having played for 44 minutes, José Julio Muga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Patricio's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Julio Muga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half San Patricio were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Julio Muga was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Adolfo Quiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pere Quintana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pere Quintana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Quiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Adolfo Quiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, José Julio Muga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. San Patricio's Enrique Mariano Rabe got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If José Julio Muga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Toculla FC's Miguel Hernánde Oquendo got control of the ball when Enrique Mariano Rabe tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Julio Muga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Miguel Hernánde Oquendo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Toculla FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Demesio Ferreccio hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, San Patricio's Pere Jordi Puertocarrero got a free kick in the 75th minute. Adolfo Quiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute Sergio Davidovits shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pere Quintana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 minutes of play, Toculla FC's Sergio Davidovits made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pere Quintana was left in no man's land by his defense there! 84 minutes into the match, Sergio Davidovits had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pere Quintana. San Patricio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergio Davidovits was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 91st minute of the match Xamín Legrand sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miguel Hernánde Oquendo skillfully saved the ball. Enrique Mariano Rabe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Hernánde Oquendo having to interfere. In the 95th minute Juan Jesus Lezaeta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Hernánde Oquendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toculla FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though San Patricio had controlled the match.
