An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Jacinto Salazar in the 27th minute of play forced Margarita AFC's goalkeeper Vicent Binfa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucero Caldera hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Margarita AFC's Casimiro Painecura got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Painecura in the 34th minute of play forced Zarzal FC's goalkeeper Aureliano Sagredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Casimiro Painecura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aureliano Sagredo. Zarzal FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Casimiro Painecura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Zarzal FC's Aureliano Sagredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosalio Espinosa in the 44th minute of play. The Zarzal FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Margarita AFC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rosalio Espinosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Rosalio Espinosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliano Sagredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rosalio Espinosa struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Aureliano Sagredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Margarita AFC. 55 minutes into the game, Margarita AFC's Alcides Nordman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aureliano Sagredo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 63 minutes into the match, Timeteo Gibson notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Margarita AFC's Vicent Binfa. Vicent Binfa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Liberto Cuadra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zarzal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Liberto Cuadra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicent Binfa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aureliano Sagredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosalio Espinosa in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Zarzal FC's zone, Alcides Nordman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aureliano Sagredo came out of the goal and Alcides Nordman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Casimiro Painecura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute, Baltazar Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Zarzal FC's zone, Gerónimo Dohrmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aureliano Sagredo came out of the goal and Gerónimo Dohrmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leopoldo Jacinto Salazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Casimiro Painecura kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aureliano Sagredo. That made the score 1-3 in the 85 minute of play. Rosalio Espinosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Aureliano Sagredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casimiro Painecura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Zarzal FC. 94 minutes into the match, Rosalio Espinosa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aureliano Sagredo, 1-4. Margarita AFC played a much better game than Zarzal FC and deserved their victory. The Zarzal FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
