Reynaldo Dayson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niguel Pinuer in the 3rd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Madeo Lezaeta sped through Tranquilla's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of José Alejandro Echaiz. Niguel Pinuer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Dayson having to interfere. Madeo Lezaeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bautista Unquera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Ignacio Valderrama's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Alejandro Echaiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Tranquilla's José Alejandro Echaiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Tranquilla from getting a goal against them. 44 minutes into the match, Tranquilla's goalkeeper José Alejandro Echaiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Ignacio Valderrama. Bautista Unquera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Niguel Pinuer to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Ceferino Clausen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bautista Unqueras short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Reynaldo Dayson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Cutemu's Ceferino Clausen got a free kick in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niguel Pinuer in the 57th minute of play forced Cutemu's goalkeeper Reynaldo Dayson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Tranquilla booed when Cutemu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reyes Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Ignacio Valderrama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Alejandro Echaiz having to interfere. Madeo Lezaeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Madeo Lezaeta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Reynaldo Dayson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niguel Pinuer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Reynaldo Dayson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tranquilla's zone, Juan Ignacio Valderrama stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Alejandro Echaiz came out of the goal and Juan Ignacio Valderrama tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Alejandro Echaiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Ignacio Valderrama in the 81st minute of play. When Juan Ignacio Valderrama came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Cutemu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Ignacio Valderrama couldn't finish the play. If Juan Ignacio Valderrama had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tranquilla getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Jose Manuel Lizondo hit a great ball. After 99 played minutes, Cutemu's Lino Soriano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper José Alejandro Echaiz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cutemu reached it. Cutemu's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
