Polvareda's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Pavez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabián Angellotti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Usmagama's goalkeeper Fabián Angellotti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Samuel Paravic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabián Angellotti having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Fidel Caszely hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessandro Parga was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 24 minutes into the match. The referee gave Usmagama a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Belmiro Cuadrado, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Polvareda's Ezmundo Herzell. 0-1. When Bruno Silva fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polvareda's protests and gave Bruno Silva a yellow card for diving instead. Bruno Silva hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Manuel Antonio Delano scored 0-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ezmundo Herzell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernardo Pavez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernardo Pavez to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Mauricio Aguayo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polvareda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauricio Aguayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 58 played minutes Polvareda got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Aguayo. Belmiro Cuadrado's shot from long distance in the 59th minute was not bad at all, but Polvareda's Ezmundo Herzell knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. When Anastasio Monreal came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Usmagama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anastasio Monreal couldn't finish the play. Anastasio Monreal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ezmundo Herzell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Usmagama would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
