Siluna Baesler made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Renato Canales sent off a good shot on target. If Renato Canales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. CORTAVIENTO's Cipriano Marshall got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaitán Marín hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Siluna Baesler didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 9th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimír Milroy in the 13th minute of play forced Cuadaba FC's goalkeeper Siluna Baesler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silviano Pantoja hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Casimír Milroy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santiago Faraggi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Gaona in the 23rd minute of the match. Eladio Fassnacht charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eladio Fassnacht the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Horacio Raab placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 28th minute Diego Galindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Faraggi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Diego Galindo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Faraggi was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Casimír Milroy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Siluna Baesler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cuadaba FC's goalkeeper Siluna Baesler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Renato Canales stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cuadaba FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! Horacio Raab walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Cipriano Marshall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cuadaba FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Adelio Eguiguren hit a great ball. Diego Galindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Santiago Faraggi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Siluna Baesler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Canales in the 68th minute of the match. When Diego Galindo came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Cuadaba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Galindo couldn't finish the play. Renato Canales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Siluna Baesler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Marshall in the 77th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, CORTAVIENTO's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Galindo came free, but Santiago Faraggi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Casimír Milroy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 played minutes Cuadaba FC got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Bernal. Renato Canales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Siluna Baesler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Siluna Baesler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casimír Milroy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Cuadaba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Ferreira came free, but Siluna Baesler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Cuadaba FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Juan Luis Marholz hit a great ball. In the 95th minute CORTAVIENTO were awarded a corner. Horacio Raab went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Cipriano Marshall managed to get in a good position for a shot. CORTAVIENTO's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Marshall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siluna Baesler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the CORTAVIENTO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
