After 35 minutes of play, CORTAVIENTO's Renato Canales made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Manuel Moyano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Casimír Milroy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Manuel Moyano having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renato Canales got free with Carlos Manuel Moyano in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. CORTAVIENTO's Cipriano Marshall got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Linao's goal looked a bit too open when Casimír Milroy came free, but Carlos Manuel Moyano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Armenta in the 47th minute of play forced CORTAVIENTO's goalkeeper Santiago Faraggi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Teobaldo Armenta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linao's supporters rose to their feet, but Teobaldo Armenta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Faraggi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Manuel Moyano was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 73 minutes into the match, Linao's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Canales came free, but Carlos Manuel Moyano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Manuel Moyano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Canales in the 74th minute of the match. Casimír Milroy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Renato Canales might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Manuel Moyano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renato Canales ran back to his position shaking his head. Santiago Faraggi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teobaldo Armenta in the 96th minute.
