When Isadoro Gaete came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Niucho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isadoro Gaete couldn't finish the play. Ermegildo Frei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Lavandero in the 28th minute of play. José Antonio Rosselot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Lermanda in the 30th minute of play. Jose Lermanda struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. José Antonio Rosselot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Llinua AFC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jose Lermanda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. José Antonio Rosselot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Lermanda in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Romualdo Schindler fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isadoro Gaete got free with Ermegildo Frei in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Niucho booed when Llinua AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Quesada didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Llinua AFC's Diego Gorriti got a free kick in the 67th minute. Ermegildo Frei made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Isadoro Gaete sent off a good shot on target. Ermegildo Frei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romualdo Schindler, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis María Mendizabal during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
