Churiguaylla FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelillo Narea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Regino Zavaleta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Churiguaylla FC's Silvino Corral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Puccio in the 20th minute of play. The Renaca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Regino Zavaleta should have stopped the shot. 41 minutes into the match, Niguel Berna notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Churiguaylla FC's Silvino Corral. Silvino Corral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Churiguaylla FC booed when Renaca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urtsín Maquieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Markus Mellibosky stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Niguel Berna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Renaca's goal looked a bit too open when Angelillo Narea came free, but Regino Zavaleta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Renaca getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jorge Vicente Naviedes hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Markus Mellibosky managed to get in a good position for a shot. Markus Mellibosky kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Niguel Berna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Angelillo Narea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Regino Zavaleta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúlo Couve in the 90th minute of play. Silvino Corral made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Robustiano Puccio sent off a good shot on target. Silvino Corral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niguel Berna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
