Damián Ducoing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Depsch in the 45th minute of play. Josué Otava blasted a shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damián Ducoing having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julián Jackson to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Submarino Amarillo's zone, Josué Otava stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damián Ducoing came out of the goal and Josué Otava tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remicio Bermúdez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 played minutes London United got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Saúl Bonvallet. Remicio Bermúdez struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Ernesto Durand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Submarino Amarillo. The supporters of Submarino Amarillo booed when London United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xulián Izaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remicio Bermúdez got free with Ernesto Durand in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
