After a rather tough play, Chanquiuque's Wilfredo Farfán got a free kick in the 6th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Chanquiuque's zone, Jaime Depsch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natalio Faverau came out of the goal and Jaime Depsch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Abner Trincado came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Chanquiuque fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abner Trincado couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
55 minutes into the match, Abner Trincado notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of London United's Ernesto Durand. Ernesto Durand was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Josué Otava managed to get in a good position for a shot. London United's supporters rose to their feet, but Josué Otava was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natalio Faverau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Josué Otava fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Faverau having to interfere. Josué Otava received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Josué Otava could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Natalio Faverau made a huge save. Carlos Saúl Bonvallet hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Adalberto Palazuelos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chanquiuque fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 96 minutes into the match, Abner Trincado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernesto Durand. London United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abner Trincado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Abner Trincado might have been able to make a better finish in the 99th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Durand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abner Trincado ran back to his position shaking his head. Xulián Izaga's late challenge caught a Chanquiuque's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xulián Izaga helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to London United getting a freekick after 100 minutes play. Xulián Izaga hit a great ball. Chanquiuque walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
