After 21 played minutes Portezuelo FC got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Manzanal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Hucke in the 45th minute of play forced Purey's goalkeeper Humberto Ansaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evaristo Heli made a kick off. With a little luck, Purey's Humberto Ansaldo got control of the ball when Velasco Faine tried to sneak it across the goal line. Portezuelo FC's Baldomiro Moxo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Urzúa in the 57th minute of play. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Mauro Hucke sped through Purey's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Humberto Ansaldo. Humberto Ansaldo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Celedonio Manzanal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 64 minute of play. After 83 minutes of play, Portezuelo FC's Velasco Faine made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Humberto Ansaldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Purey's Humberto Ansaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Hucke in the 88th minute of play. Ubaldo Urzúa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Baldomiro Moxo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
