In the 2nd minute, Ondino Magalhaes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bernardo Jaraquemada. The goal made the score 1-0. A collision led to Bizarros getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Gaitán Ferreira hit a great ball. When Ondino Magalhaes came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Bizarros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ondino Magalhaes couldn't finish the play. If León Layseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Sebastiano Patrickson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureo Waddington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Bizarros getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Valentín Taylor hit a great ball. If Sebastiano Patrickson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Bizarros's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastiano Patrickson came free, but Aureo Waddington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Maipo booed when Bizarros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentín Taylor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Bizarros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentín Taylor to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Bizarros's zone, Abundio Mas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aureo Waddington came out of the goal and Abundio Mas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 37 played minutes Bizarros got a freekick which was hit by Jeremías Cox. Abundio Mas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureo Waddington having to interfere. Bizarros's Aureo Waddington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastiano Patrickson in the 41st minute of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Ondino Magalhaes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bizarros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ondino Magalhaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ondino Magalhaes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Mario Alberto Irisarri put in a rough tackle. 52 minutes into the game, one of Maipo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bernardo Jaraquemada went to the wrong direction when Natanael Fantini was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Maipo's goal looked a bit too open when Ondino Magalhaes came free, but Bernardo Jaraquemada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bizarros's Ondino Magalhaes in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maipo's goalie prevented a goal. Eustacio Berna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Aureo Waddington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abundio Mas might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aureo Waddington. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abundio Mas ran back to his position shaking his head. 67 minutes into the game, Maipo's Abundio Mas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aureo Waddington made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Maipo's Bernardo Jaraquemada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Selmo Cangas in the 74th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eustacio Berna during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gaitán Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Bizarros's attack was well implemented in the 84th minute, but when Ondino Magalhaes was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. The long shot by Ernesto Campusano in the 87th minute really tested Aureo Waddington's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Selmo Cangas might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernardo Jaraquemada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Selmo Cangas ran back to his position shaking his head. León Layseca struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Bernardo Jaraquemada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bizarros. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
