The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pilmahue's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Walker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Xaime Tenorio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henrico Bórquez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Odín Walton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrico Bórquez having to interfere. The Ciruelos AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pilmahue were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Árpád Barabás to make the kick off. Angelillo Aravena was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 54 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, one of Ciruelos AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ciruelos AFC. Árpád Barabás succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 60th playminute. Flavio Walker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The goalkeeper, Henrico Bórquez, was totally fooled by Pilmahue's 肖梁榕, who 78 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Heliodoro Paiva during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Pilmahue booed when Ciruelos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heliodoro Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pilmahue's 肖梁榕 got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henrico Bórquez came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Pilmahue's Nikita Duzhik. But to his dismay, Nikita Duzhik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Árpád Barabás who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 98thth minute tested the skills of Henrico Bórquez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Flavio Walker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
