After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Sansón Portolés managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maquegua FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sansón Portolés was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quentín Porte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the match, Sansón Portolés had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quentín Porte. Quellon AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sansón Portolés was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sansón Portolés in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Quentín Porte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sansón Portolés in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Quentín Porte saved Quellon AFC from getting behind. When Firmín Lattanzi came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Quellon AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Firmín Lattanzi couldn't finish the play. The Maquegua FC fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Maquegua FC's Sansón Portolés looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Lizardi in the 34th minute of play forced Quellon AFC's goalkeeper Quentín Porte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sansón Portolés recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredo Lizardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Quentín Porte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quentín Porte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Lizardi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Maquegua FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Alfredo Lizardi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quentín Porte having to interfere. Sansón Portolés received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Quentín Porte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Quellon AFC's Mikel Almendros got a free kick in the 58th minute. Esteban Falabella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oriol Markovic in the 64th minute of the match. Sansón Portolés in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Quentín Porte, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Sansón Portolés had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Lizardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sansón Portolés fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quentín Porte having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Adán Arriagada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sansón Portolés in the 82nd minute of play forced Quellon AFC's goalkeeper Quentín Porte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gervasio Del Fierro's late challenge caught a Quellon AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gervasio Del Fierro helped the player get up and apologised. Gervasio Del Fierro hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Sansón Portolés was extremely unlucky when he, in the 87th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 90 minutes into the match, Maquegua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Firmín Lattanzi came free, but Esteban Falabella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esteban Falabella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Firmín Lattanzi in the 91st minute of the match. Oriol Markovic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Falabella having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Adán Arriagada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Quentín Porte was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. The Quellon AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Maquegua FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
