The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Bolleco:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Canas:s goal. 1-0 came through a penalty shot after 4 played minutes, when Canas:s Francisco Alberto Smitmans calmly waited for Bolleco:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Enrique Gorena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Román Dávila, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. If Román Dávila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Archibaldo Araujo struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Enrique Gorena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canas. The supporters of Bolleco booed when Canas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Cotapos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute Bonifacio Barnard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavi Tassara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Canas's zone, Ofelio Noti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xavi Tassara came out of the goal and Ofelio Noti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xavi Tassara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Barnard in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Bolleco's goalkeeper Enrique Gorena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Román Dávila. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bolleco's goalkeeper Enrique Gorena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ofelio Noti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Xavi Tassara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Abraham Aylwin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Bolleco booed when Canas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Cotapos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 played minutes, Bolleco's Vasco Honores shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Xavi Tassara came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bolleco reached it. Constancio Malherbe hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute Ofelio Noti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavi Tassara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Román Dávila made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Archibaldo Araujo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Gorena was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Abraham Aylwin hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Canas's Xavi Tassara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Canas from getting a goal against them. When Ofelio Noti came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Bolleco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ofelio Noti couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Román Dávila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canas's supporters rose to their feet, but Román Dávila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Gorena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute, Miguel Basualdo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bonifacio Barnard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Xavi Tassara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ofelio Noti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xavi Tassara made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Ofelio Noti sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Canas booed when Bolleco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Villalta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ofelio Noti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ofelio Noti might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xavi Tassara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ofelio Noti ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ofelio Noti came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Bolleco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ofelio Noti couldn't finish the play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Canas were victorious despite being under pressure from Bolleco for much of the match.
