The attack was good, but when Andoni Rochefort in the 16th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Andoni Rochefort might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hernán Cattalán. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andoni Rochefort ran back to his position shaking his head. Samuel Paillao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvar Allison in the 24th minute of play. Hernán Cattalán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andoni Rochefort in the 40th minute of play. Samuel Paillao was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alvar Allison showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 46 minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Alvar Allison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Samuel Paillao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 60 in the game by Virgilio Allison from a close distance when the talented Hernán Cattalán managed to make a qualified save. U. de Chile F.C S.A's players were relieved. In the 61st minute, Andoni Rochefort got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eufrasio Bazan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Andoni Rochefort had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernán Cattalán was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Andoni Rochefort capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andoni Rochefort really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Horcon FC's Virgilio Allison suffered a sore thigh after 81 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Lucas Alessandri's late challenge caught a Horcon FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Alessandri helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to U. de Chile F.C S.A getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Lucas Alessandri hit a great ball. Samuel Paillao came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by U. de Chile F.C S.A's Luis Peso. But to his dismay, Luis Peso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
