Humberto Rosende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Mallet having to interfere. Javier Mallet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Messias in the 13th minute of play. Vicens Bascuñán was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Darien Zumaeta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Darien Zumaeta really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Javier Mallet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Rosende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo Renato Messias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Javier Mallet having to make a save. Javier Mallet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Renato Messias went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romano Argo in the 28th minute of play forced Pilluco FC's goalkeeper Javier Mallet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Luis Javier Herdoyza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicens Bascuñán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Romano Argo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pilluco FC's Javier Mallet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 35 minutes, Matías Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club de Deportes Temuco and the Pilluco FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Matías Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pilluco FC's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 36th minute of the game, when Elazar Buitrago after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Club de Deportes Temuco's goal. Elazar Buitrago was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romano Argo to make the kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Romano Argo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pilluco FC's Javier Mallet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pilluco FC's Javier Mallet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Pilluco FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Pilluco FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Máximo Arriola hit a great ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Javier Mallet showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 80th minute Basilio Maillard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicens Bascuñán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th match minute, Pilluco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Odín Linacre to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romano Argo in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Javier Mallet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Romano Argo in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Javier Mallet, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 85th minute, Humberto Rosende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Club de Deportes Temuco defense, Aurelius Delgadillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vicens Bascuñán. The Club de Deportes Temuco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vicens Bascuñán should have stopped the shot. Vicens Bascuñán came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Pilluco FC's Luis Javier Herdoyza. But to his dismay, Luis Javier Herdoyza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. 95 minutes into the game, Luis Javier Herdoyza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Vicens Bascuñán was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Pilluco FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
