The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iván Luis Arias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mercé Amenábar during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Deportivo Liceo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
