After a rather tough play, Club de Deportes Temuco's Paco Granada got a free kick in the 7th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dante Alviña in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicens Bascuñán prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Leheren in the 11th minute of play forced Deportivo Liceo's goalkeeper Abraham Madaune to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 minutes of play, Club de Deportes Temuco's Humberto Rosende made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abraham Madaune was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Humberto Rosende came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Club de Deportes Temuco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Rosende couldn't finish the play. 2-0 became the score in the 17th minute when Romano Argo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Romano Argo struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Abraham Madaune didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club de Deportes Temuco. After 25 minutes of play, Deportivo Liceo's Dante Alviña made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vicens Bascuñán was left in no man's land by his defense there! Paulo Renato Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The tension between the Club de Deportes Temuco and the Deportivo Liceo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paco Granada kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Abraham Madaune made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Messias in the 41st minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iván Luis Arias to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Club de Deportes Temuco's Humberto Rosende sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abraham Madaune narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Liceo's zone, Romano Argo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abraham Madaune came out of the goal and Romano Argo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Deportivo Liceo's goal looked a bit too open when Romano Argo came free, but Abraham Madaune reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Paulo Renato Messias put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Abraham Madaune. After 68 minutes, Natalio Llano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Liceo and the Club de Deportes Temuco players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jonathan Almonacid shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Liceo's José Ignacio Eyzaguirre got a free kick in the 71st minute. Vicens Bascuñán was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and José Ignacio Eyzaguirre capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. José Ignacio Eyzaguirre really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. In the 78th minute Mario Leheren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abraham Madaune saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Deportivo Liceo defense, Mario Leheren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abraham Madaune. The Deportivo Liceo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abraham Madaune should have stopped the shot. Vicens Bascuñán came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Liceo's Nestor Casanueva. But to his dismay, Nestor Casanueva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. In the 86th match minute, Deportivo Liceo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natalio Llano to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Romano Argo put it in 5-3 from a short distance just to the right of Abraham Madaune. Club de Deportes Temuco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Dante Alviña scored to the left of an out of position Vicens Bascuñán, making the score, 5-4. In the 96th minute Nestor Casanueva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicens Bascuñán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 99th minute, Matías Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alesandro Barbosa was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 100th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Club de Deportes Temuco players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
