Spectators: 6718 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Constantino Detmer got the match started through his kick off. Salamón Gajardo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 8th playminute. Huechun's Sergio Brotfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Detmer in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salamón Gajardo got free with Sergio Brotfeld in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Alonso Rodenas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Savier Cisneros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Karmy in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Huechun's Sergio Brotfeld got control of the ball when Salamón Gajardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Salamón Gajardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergio Brotfeld having to make a save. In the 39th minute, Alonso Rodenas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salamón Gajardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sergio Brotfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Detmer in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliseo Karmy made a kick off. Sergio Brotfeld didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remi Martos went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. El Famoso River Plate's Constantino Detmer got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, El Famoso River Plate's goalkeeper Savier Cisneros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alonso Rodenas. El Famoso River Plate's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Eliseo Karmy scored to the left of an out of position Savier Cisneros, making the score, 2-2. A collision led to Huechun getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Clemencín Rondizzoni hit a great ball. Salamón Gajardo scored 3-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sergio Brotfeld, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Salamón Gajardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of El Famoso River Plate booed when Huechun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Peraza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, El Famoso River Plate's Siluna Otero tried to score from far away in the 82nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute Salamón Gajardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sergio Brotfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match Jose Ramon Urmeneta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sergio Brotfeld showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Huechun's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Detmer came free, but Sergio Brotfeld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Eliseo Karmy came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Huechun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Karmy couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. El Famoso River Plate had won after a very even match.
