Horacio Briones struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Ceandro Colimán didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gutijane. Horacio Briones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ceandro Colimán tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Chollay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfredo Armanet to maneuver through the defense. Rogerio Patterson in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alexandre De Smet d`Olbecke, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alexandre De Smet d`Olbecke was a little too slow when Manu Reynero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-0. Florencio Gabella kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After 37 minutes of play Chollay's Wilfredo Armanet was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 38th minute, Wilfredo Armanet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chollay's Ceandro Colimán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Briones in the 40th minute of play. Ceandro Colimán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horacio Briones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horacio Briones blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ceandro Colimán having to make a save. Máximo Carreño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ceandro Colimán having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Máximo Carreño to make the kick off. After having played for 58 minutes, Horacio Briones managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gutijane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horacio Briones was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th match minute, Chollay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manu Reynero to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Máximo Carreño got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Máximo Carreño in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ceandro Colimán saved Chollay from getting behind. In the 68th minute, Florencio Gabella hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogerio Patterson in the 71st minute of play forced Gutijane's goalkeeper Alexandre De Smet d`Olbecke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Danél Pastore was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gutijane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chollay the free kick. Danél Pastore hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match.
