Manquimillu's Niceto Argomedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Manquimillu from getting a goal against them. In the 21stth minute of the game Jon-Ander Pardow who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cardonal FC's Albin Artigas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Albin Artigas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon-Ander Pardow in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Cardonal FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Miguel Ángel Dareport hit a great ball. Albin Artigas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anastasio Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Plata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Argomedo having to interfere. Quique Angulo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Argomedo having to interfere. Vicente Plata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quique Angulo couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jon-Ander Pardow to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, Manquimillu's Albin Artigas threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jon-Ander Pardow, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Manquimillu getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Álvaro Chamorro hit a great ball. In the 79th minute Quique Angulo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Argomedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Vicente Plata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jon-Ander Pardow came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Manquimillu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon-Ander Pardow couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cardonal FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Manquimillu had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
