The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes Puntra AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adrián Belmar. Rafael Basualto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Puntra AFC's zone, Telmo Diez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornelio Dumont came out of the goal and Telmo Diez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Puntra AFC's Alfonso Faraggi in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Quidenez AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Telmo Villablanca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfonso Faraggi's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Arturo Maira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Cornelio Dumont made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Quidenez AFC's Topocho Portal got a free kick in the 25th minute. Alfonso Faraggi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Telmo Villablanca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Telmo Diez came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Quidenez AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Telmo Diez couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute, Francisco Alberto Bolivar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Quidenez AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Faraggi came free, but Telmo Villablanca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Arturo Maira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfonso Faraggi was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Puntra AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Maira came free, but Cornelio Dumont reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute of the match Ezequiel Malsch shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Telmo Villablanca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match, Alfonso Faraggi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Telmo Villablanca saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cornelio Dumont made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Maira in the 64th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Alfonso Faraggi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alarico Herquiñigo got free with Telmo Villablanca in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alarico Herquiñigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Villablanca having to interfere. Alarico Herquiñigo hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Cornelio Dumont took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo Diez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 84 minutes on the clock, Topocho Portal commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 84th minute of the game. One of Quidenez AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Puntra AFC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 86 minutes, Puntra AFC's Ismael Antonis got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Telmo Villablanca. Telmo Villablanca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alarico Herquiñigo in the 91st minute. In the 92nd match minute, Quidenez AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Macuer to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 93 minutes, Alfonso Faraggi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puntra AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Faraggi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfonso Faraggi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Villablanca having to interfere. The Quidenez AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Puntra AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Puntra AFC.
