With his leg Carlos Manuel Peñailillo managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Marimenuco FC's Hermenegildo Lepe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Xaime Olguín kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 29 minutes, Batista Niño de Zepeda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marimenuco FC and the Ocoa players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Marimenuco FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Batista Niño de Zepeda hit a great ball. Hermenegildo Lepe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Carlos Manuel Peñailillo made a huge save. Carlos Manuel Peñailillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Olivera, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 38 played minutes Marimenuco FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Solabarrieta. When Benedicto Otava fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ocoa's protests and gave Benedicto Otava a yellow card for diving instead. Xaime Olguín kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roy Rogers to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Fabio Solabarrieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leoncio Ripamonti was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roy Rogers showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 55 minute of play. Baraquiel Hoffmann struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Leoncio Ripamonti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ocoa. After 62 minutes of play Marimenuco FC's Batista Niño de Zepeda was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 62nd match minute, Marimenuco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Batista Niño de Zepeda to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the match, Marimenuco FC's goalkeeper Leoncio Ripamonti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baraquiel Hoffmann. The crowd rose to their feet as Xaime Olguín kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leoncio Ripamonti. That made the score 0-2 in the 81 minute of play. After 83 played minutes Marimenuco FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco José Marquéz. Baraquiel Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Carlos Manuel Peñailillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Olivera in the 90th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Ocoa's goal looked a bit too open when Andreo De la Maza came free, but Carlos Manuel Peñailillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, Xaime Olguín hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Ocoa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ocoa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
