Cherquenco's Calvino Carrión couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 16th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Dinosaurier. Topocho Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ofelio Carvajal, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 28th minute José Julio Oyarzabal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Jodar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvar Giron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Topocho Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ofelio Carvajal might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Topocho Arce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ofelio Carvajal ran back to his position shaking his head. Alvar Giron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Topocho Arce having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as José Julio Oyarzabal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Teodosio Jodar. That made the score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Julio Oyarzabal made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Danilo Lambert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Cerilo Quiñones came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Cherquenco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cerilo Quiñones couldn't finish the play. After 57 played minutes Cherquenco got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Lambert. Topocho Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ofelio Carvajal in the 74th minute of play. After 75 played minutes Cherquenco got a freekick which was hit by Calvino Carrión. After 76 played minutes, Dinosaurier's Sebastián Cid shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Teodosio Jodar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dinosaurier reached it. Teodosio Jodar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Julio Oyarzabal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Dinosaurier booed when Cherquenco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ofelio Carvajal didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eliazar Faesch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliazar Faesch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alvar Girons short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Topocho Arce to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the referee blew the final whistle, Dinosaurier could leave the field as winners, despite Cherquenco having more of the ball for most of the match.
