Spectators: 6698 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1698, VIP seats: 0) Raymundo Bello started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Flavio Campusano might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maxín Barriga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flavio Campusano ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 7th minute Magdaleno Cobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxín Barriga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fausto Abella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Maxín Barriga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raymundo Bello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. David Zañartu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Duardo Massa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chuquicamata fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Cumuy's Maxín Barriga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Campusano in the 19th minute of play. Maxín Barriga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magdaleno Cobo in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Fausto Abella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxín Barriga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the game, Chuquicamata's Flavio Campusano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maxín Barriga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Maxín Barriga came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Chuquicamata's Fausto Abella. But to his dismay, Fausto Abella quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Maxín Barriga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Abella in the 35th minute of play. Silvino Ruedi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Maxín Barriga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Flavio Campusano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Cumuy's goal looked a bit too open when Rosalio Marileo came free, but Maxín Barriga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flavio Campusano in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxín Barriga saved Cumuy from getting behind. Maxín Barriga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Duardo Massa went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Duardo Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Cumuy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chuquicamata were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flavio Campusano made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ermegildo Diaz de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baudelio Ibarrueta's late challenge caught a Chuquicamata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baudelio Ibarrueta helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cumuy's Baudelio Ibarrueta got a free kick in the 58th minute. A hard shot 66 in the game by Flavio Campusano from a close distance when the talented Maxín Barriga managed to make a qualified save. Cumuy's players were relieved. Cumuy's Leopoldo Amezquita got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 69 played minutes Chuquicamata got a freekick which was hit by Rosalio Marileo. Fausto Abella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute Leopoldo Amezquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Zañartu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Héctor Lizana Lezana struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Maxín Barriga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chuquicamata. Magdaleno Cobo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Maxín Barriga made a huge save. 95 minutes into the game, Cumuy's Leopoldo Amezquita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Zañartu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Chuquicamata's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
