Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) Raymundo Bello started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ubaldo Lorie during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ubaldo Lorie kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Jacindo Orellanas short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Maxín Barriga to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Amezquita in the 7th minute of play forced Rapel's goalkeeper Urtsín Jorquera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cumuy booed when Rapel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Cardenas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maxín Barriga came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Rapel's Jacindo Orellana. But to his dismay, Jacindo Orellana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Rapel's Omar Adams got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacindo Orellana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxín Barriga having to interfere. With his leg Maxín Barriga managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Rapel's Jacindo Orellana fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maxín Barriga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Adams in the 25th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raymundo Bello in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Urtsín Jorquera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th minute of the match Baldomero Recabarren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Urtsín Jorquera skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Rapel's Ursino Vicentens got a free kick in the 29th minute. After 37 minutes of play, Cumuy's Raymundo Bello made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Urtsín Jorquera was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Omar Adams was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Rapel's Omar Adams nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maxín Barriga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Leopoldo Amezquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymundo Bello in the 65th minute of play forced Rapel's goalkeeper Urtsín Jorquera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cumuy's Raymundo Bello got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cumuy's Ubaldo Lorie got his second yellow card of the match in the 78th minute. The referee ordered Ubaldo Lorie off the ground. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Omar Adams in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxín Barriga saved Cumuy from getting behind. Omar Adams sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rapel's goalkeeper Urtsín Jorquera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd match minute, Rapel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Hugo Rebolledo to maneuver through the defense. When Rapel's Omar Adams in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cumuy's goalie prevented a goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
