Gaston Picado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonso Gumucio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúlo Gibbs in the 10th minute of play forced Chapisca's goalkeeper Martino Vodanovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miren Marfil charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miren Marfil the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Farellon FC booed when Chapisca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miren Marfil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th match minute, Chapisca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miren Marfil to maneuver through the defense. Juan Jose Lyon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Gaston Picado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Jose Lyon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gaston Picado having to make a save. If Raúlo Gibbs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Farellon FC's Gaston Picado got control of the ball when Juan Jose Lyon tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute, Emilio Zamora got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raúlo Gibbs was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Chapisca's goalkeeper Martino Vodanovic had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filipo Viveros. In the 55th match minute, Chapisca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miren Marfil to maneuver through the defense. Raúlo Gibbs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martino Vodanovic having to interfere. A collision led to Farellon FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Eustaquio Pasten hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, José Luis Galeas sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Farellon FC's Gaston Picado didn't even have to move. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Juan Jose Lyon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chapisca's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Jose Lyon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaston Picado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Farellon FC's goalkeeper Gaston Picado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Farellon FC's zone, Juan Jose Lyon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaston Picado came out of the goal and Juan Jose Lyon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute Alonso Gumucio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Picado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Jose Lyon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Picado having to interfere. Gaston Picado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonso Gumucio, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When Emilio Zamora came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Farellon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Zamora couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute, Emilio Zamora left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Farellon FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Farellon FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
